Part I

The winning pieces of the Ghost Note Competition:

Peter Jakober, 1. Prize

with his composition "Puls 3" is the winner of the 1. prize. From KOFAKTOR he received the vst-piano-plugin "Synthogy Ivory".

Jakober was born in 1977 in Austria. He studied composition with Georg Friedrich Haas and Gerd Kühr at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz (Austria).
Some of his works have been played by well known Austrian ensembles (like Klangforum, etc.) at famous locations and festivals. He is one of the founders of 'Hörfest'.
Jakober received the Austrian State Scholarship 2007 and the Scholarship for Music of Graz.

Michael Paulus is a free lance composer and writer living in Vienna. Paulus was born in Sweden and started composing at the age of 10. Parts of his "Norwegenzyklus" have been performed at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein (Vienna) in 2001.

For his composition "Zwischentöne" Paulus was given the second prize of the ghost note competition.
